The Journey Continues

Black Desert is released today. Soon I will be playing.. I still have two days wait. I thought it would be fun to RP a bit this time around, so I will be writing a special segment to publish on the BDO Forums, charting the adventures and campaigns of my Captain and others who serve The Relic. I hope you enjoy the read. - M.

It began long ago. I first served in the Evony Wars. Through three campaigns I fought for The Relic and rose to the rank of Captain. Many times over we repelled our foes from Carinthia and we turned our swords to the surrounding regions against every enemy. We made the fields run red.

Many allies were gained back then. Heroes of legend I knew. The heroes Sky and Sun, Thark the Bloody Baron, Naz, Helruner, brother Vespa and even a Vampire warlord. So much time has passed. Many of my friends fallen and many heroes emerged from those wars.

After the wars we took to Middle-Earth answering the call of those in need. Together with the Loremaster Lofar, the Princess and the Hobbits, valiant Senza, noble Arelvee and the hunter Botak among others. We fought against the darkness of Saron and the evil workings of the Wizard Saruman. We even infiltrated and conquered the great dragon Draigoch. Great were our victories. Long was our struggle.

I was granted something of a rest then.. Where I traveled to the lands of Elgea. There it was sung.

Far north through the lands of Tamarin
Is a region by the name of Cockaigne.
No place in Illyria compares to this
For sheer delightfulness and bliss.
Though Middle Kingdom is fair and bright,
Cockaigne of the Relic is the finer sight.
In that Royal Band what's to be seen
But hard work coding til hours mean?
Though the royal joys must sweet,
There are no women! Not a lady to meet;
No chatter, no laughter echo that hall,
No alcoholic drink, none at all.
Its inhabitants are far to few,
King Sigurd andThundercat---just the two;
They must find it boring there
Without more company to share.
King Sigurd may put his vans to great use
but can it compare with our Princess or Masseuse.
Of the Relic offers a better fare
all day we game without worry or care;
The food is good, the drink flows free;
the women are many; alecto, schotti, senza, mg.
There are rivers great and fine
Of oil and milk, honey and wine;
Waters uses, there are few---
For washing in, and for the view.
Camaraderie abounds beyond all measure---
Everything is joy and pleasure.
To partake in this, our group, is an easy task
One must know a Relic and simply ask...

After that time of rest warriors were again assembled for several campaigns. We were tasked by The Relic to join the Tuatha in Tamriel where we fought for the Pact and eventually secured the Imperial crown. Then again the Princess summoned an expedition to the land of Nuia, establishing a camp in Dewstone we prospered in trade, discovered new lands and ventured deep into Auroria. Many warriors joined our band. Ceedrick, Beebsith, Pechko, Oryan, Tensa, Costner, Keirou, Sarafine, Helrunner, Tree, Vahlok, Yom, Acce, Stormrider... Our ranks were full. Finally, having accomplished what we had set out to do our flag was allowed to rest.

I had thought my wars were over. I had thought to have a rest from my adventure.

Then came the summons. The Princess called. We are now summoned to a new campaign. There are new lands to explore. New enemies to fight. New friends to make. I hear my brothers calling. The faithful band of warriors, those who would rally around The Relic. They are ready.

I look down at my battered shield. The worn hilt of my sword. It needs to be replaced perhaps. How many enemies has it taken? My cloak is torn.. Perhaps a new one? I will pack my bags. I will begin my journey. There is a portal to take. It opens soon. I will answer the summons.

Another adventure, another campaign. Onward to the Black Desert.
