Chromium v1.0.156.0

As i'm sure many of you have read, Google Chrome has come out of beta and with it Chromium gets an update! Chromium version 1.0.156.0 is available for download.

Whether executable created by free chrome will
run under linux through WINE ?

I have tested the executable created for chromium 1.0.56.0 on ubuntu 8.04 through WINE. 1.1.2
The browser window is displayed but somehow chromium is not able to make network connection to server and fetch a web page.
This is my impression about chromium on linux
